It has been my life-long passion to help others, as I have been through my own personal journey of healing and overcoming through many seasons in my life. I enjoy walking alongside my clients as they process their journeys, helping them to gain a better understanding of themselves and build skills in areas where they feel stuck. I believe that building trust and connection in our therapeutic relationship is essential. I have been told that I make people feel comfortable very quickly and that I am easy to talk to.

My counseling style is to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere where you feel seen and cared about unconditionally. Part of my role is helping to point out insights and themes that I hear from you as we go. My goal is that through this process, you and I will collaborate to form your goals for therapy, as I seek to help you progress in the next step of your own path.
Through multiple years of experience serving in leadership, ministry, mentoring, and education, I have had the joy of being able to walk side by side with many people on their paths of healing and growth. LUCAS FULLER

marriage and family therapy TRAINEE

Life's journey can be filled with obstacles, both big and small. As a Trainee Marriage and Family Therapist, I aim to be a companion on this journey, helping individuals navigate these challenges and reach their goals of growth and fulfillment.

I grew up in Placerville, CA, and am glad to still be a part of the community that helped shape me into the person I am. In my free time, I enjoy engaging in physical activities such as sports and exercise, as well as spending time in nature, which I find rejuvenating and grounding.

I believe that making small adjustments in our lives can lead to the most miraculous changes. Sometimes, all it takes is a little help to propel us forward. I take an empathic approach to therapy where I want my clients to be heard and understood as they go through this process.

My areas of interest include working with teens and young adults who have anxiety, depression, or are adjusting to life’s big changes. The world throws many things our way, but we do not have to battle them alone. I view therapy as a team effort, where we collaborate to find solutions and make progress towards a happier and healthier life. There are some challenges that do not have to be faced alone.

Kristina Albright

marriage and family therapy TRAINEE

I am a lifelong resident of Elk Grove. I have been married for 25 years and have three teen and young adult children. After retiring from a career as a first responder, I felt the call to continue impacting those in the community by seeking a second career in counseling. It takes a tremendous amount of courage for someone to allow another person to hear their deepest struggles. My greatest desire is to provide an environment of acceptance and support where my clients can be authentic.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee, I help my clients gain greater insight into themselves and assist them in developing coping strategies to overcome challenges. I am interested in working with clients from every background who are struggling with stress, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or anything else that keeps them from feeling like the best version of themselves. To sit with someone in their hardest times is an honor and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to provide support and guidance when they reach out for help. I am passionate about serving others, especially first responders, front line workers and those suffering from the effects of trauma. As a founding Peer Support Team Member of a local first responder non-profit organization, I have seen the healing that occurs and how hope can grow, even in the face of unbearable pain. In addition to my work with first responders, I have been involved in women’s ministry for more than 15 years and served in numerous capacities with youth ministry from infant care through high school.

Jennifer Armitage

MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPIST TRAINEE

Life will give you lemons and my job is to help you make it into lemonade. I approach therapy with an attitude that therapy shouldn’t come full of shame and blame. My hope is to make everyone feel comfortable and accepted as we go through the growth and change it takes to thrive.

In counseling, I apply various approaches most appropriate for my clients and their goals. These may include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and Art Therapy as well. In reality, what I provide is helping people (from children to entire families) thrive from where they are. Families work as their own organism, so coming together to learn how everyone can support and communicate effectively and healthily with each other, is a beautiful (even if sometimes messy) process.

A bit about me personally, I am a divorced mom of two kids. One of my children is a cancer survivor, and the other is a survivor of those effects. Being a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is a second career for me. I spent the first half of my career working in nonprofit program management and social work. As a MFT trainee, I use my education, life and therapeutic experience to support my clients however they need to grow.
